Outcare – Career Development Program

Supports people who have been in prison to become job-ready. This program is designed to give people career guidance and practical support as they prepare to re-enter the workforce. Support may include:

• Creating résumés
• Interview preparation
• Career action plans
• Exploring training and education opportunities
• Assistance with disclosing convictions

Funding

• Government grants and partner support

Eligibility & Access

• At least 18 years old
• Either are in or have been in the justice system
• Willing to engage

People in the community and in the following prisons can participate in the program from six months prior to release: Acacia, Bandyup, Boronia, Casuarina, Karnet and Wooroloo prisons.
