Services
Karlup is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO) that empowers Aboriginal people to have a voice in the design, development, and delivery of services through culturally safe co-design and community engagement. The organisation works to strengthen community wellbeing by increasing affordable housing opportunities, supporting Aboriginal-led initiatives, advocating for community participation in decision-making, and fostering cultural knowledge and security. Guided by the Karlup Kaartdijin cultural framework, Karlup promotes strong connections to culture through initiatives such as membership growth, community consultation, support for menโs and womenโs groups, cultural training, an Elders Panel, and the co-design of trauma-informed healing programs, ensuring services are shaped by and for the local Aboriginal community.
