Relationships Australia provides a wide range of services to help individuals, couples, and families improve their relationships. These include individual and family counselling, mediation, education courses, child contact services, domestic and family violence services, and other support programs. Provides supervised child changeovers and contact visits. The Child Contact Service provides changeover and supervision services to foster safe and positive interaction between children and their parents, and to strengthen these relationships. The service provides the following:
- Staff who are professionally trained, friendly and child-focused
- Separate assessment interviews with parents
- Secure and comfortable centres with toys and games
- Separate entrances and drop off times for parents
- Orientation visits for children as required
- Supervised visits in the community, in some cases
- Observational reports which help determine parenting arrangements
The Elder Support and Relationship Service offers specialised counselling and mediation for older people and their families, supporting them to maintain strong and healthy relationships. This service assists with:
- Preventing or resolving family conflict
- Having difficult conversations
- Planning for the future (including medical, health, financial, or living arrangements)
- Resolving differences in ways that strengthen relationships
- Making decisions that protect the interests, rights, and safety of families
